A vegades passa que necessites saber què està pensant en un determinat moment, i així poder seguir pel camí correcte, o fugir enrere. Si coneixes la persona de qui vols saber-ne els pensaments pots arribar a preguntar-los-hi. Probablement et mentirà. Si no la coneixes, i és d'aquelles persones amb qui intercanvies mirades al tren o a la biblioteca, necessites l'interpretador de mirades, o comprar pensaments, o un pack amb les dues coses per estar ben segur de no cagar-la estrepitosament i poder fer el pas correcte. I es que les mirades són ambigües, especialment si ets una d'aquelles persones indecises i no massa segures que s'ho pensen tot dues vegades. M'està mirant perquè jo miro?, i pensa, òstia, aquest tio em mira, o mira perquè vol mirar?, i si també es pregunta si jo miro perquè ella mira i penso òstia, aquesta tia em mira, o si miro perquè vull mirar?
